Rt. Hon. Dickson Tarkighir Scores Only 8 Votes in North Bank I Ward During APC Primaries

A ward result from the All Progressives Congress (APC) Federal Constituency Primary Election has gone viral after Rt. Hon. Dickson Tarkighir, a prominent aspirant, polled a mere 8 votes in North Bank I Ward of Makurdi LGA, Benue State.

According to the official Ward Result Form for the 2026 APC primary, a total of 1,870 votes were cast out of 1,900 accredited voters. Hon. Iorfa Terna Christopher dominated the ward with 1,802 votes, while other aspirants recorded far lower figures. Hon. Tarkighir’s result of just 8 votes has sparked widespread reactions online, with many describing it as a massive rejection by the masses.

The post, shared by popular Facebook user Òr Turan, was accompanied by laughing emojis and the caption “Fear who no fear the masses,” reflecting strong public sentiment over the outcome.
